2G & 3G Mobile Network Switch Off

As you may have read, the UK government has agreed with the UK mobile network operators that 2033 will be the year by which all public 2G and 3G networks in the UK will be switched off.
As a result, UK mobile networks are already announcing their plans to close their 2G and 3G services well ahead of this date.
The programme, which will see 3G coverage gradually phased out and replaced by strengthened 4G and 5G services, will mean customers across more parts of the UK can access more reliable connectivity.
